My name is Erin Tietjen and I am from Vineland, New Jersey – a short drive from both Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore. I am certified as an English and Social Studies teacher, I hold my MA in Public Relations, and I currently have the most rewarding job in the world – taking care of my twin toddlers. I love traveling – to destinations such as Hawaii, Napa, London, New York, Amsterdam, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Outer Banks, Jamaica, Boston, as well as cruises throughout the Caribbean. Walt Disney World is my favorite destination to visit and plan!

What is Disney magic to me?

Disney magic is standing on the roof of the Contemporary Resort after an amazing meal, looking across the lagoon to the iconic castle. Hearing the music cue, seeing the lights dim and watching the most beautiful, private fireworks show.

Disney magic is being selected to participate as an “actor” in the Backlot Tour or the Indiana Jones Stunt Show Spectacular; getting to participate in the “out-of-the-ordinary” experiences that my family will never forget.

Disney magic is seeing the wonder in the eyes of my infant twins as they clap, bounce, and squeal with the music of Festival of the Lion King and the Enchanted Tiki Room.

Disney magic is the excitement for the years ahead – the princess dresses and pirate treasures.

Before the Disney magic can happen, there is a great deal of “behind the scenes” planning and preparation. I book that impossible-to-get dining reservation, create touring plans and reserve Fast Passes. I select the best resort for my family’s needs (there are 28 possibilities on-property alone), and schedule grocery delivery. Sounds like a lot of work – doesn’t it? It can be, but believe it or not, planning is actually my favorite part of the vacation.
